Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is "Velocity Urgent Care"?

Velocity Urgent CareSM provides on-demand treatment for illness and injury that requires immediate medical attention but that is not a medical emergency.  Our board-certified providers also offer physicals, vaccinations, x-rays, and basic lab tests.  Urgent care is not a replacement for your primary care physician in managing overall wellness, but rather, is available when you can’t wait for an appointment.  Most patients are in- and out within 45 to 60 minutes, at about 1/7th the cost of using a hospital emergency room.  Our convenient neighborhood locations are open 7-days a week and no appointment is ever needed…you can just walk-in or reserve your spot online at http://velocityuc.spinmodern.co/locations/ .  We accept most insurance plans and offer affordable cash pay options.

How do you work with my primary care physician?

It’s important to us to maintain relationships with primary care providers. We want to offer continuity of care to primary care patients, and we can have your medical chart forwarded to your provider (with medical consent). If you do not have a primary care provider, we can make a referral for you.

What referral relationships do you maintain?

If your condition requires follow-up care, we maintain relationships with a spectrum of primary care providers, medical specialists and facilities in the area, and we will assist you in finding the best care based on your medical needs.
